It is just about that time of year again! Next week, my assistant (my mom hehe) and I will head to Las Vegas, Nevada on our third buying trip forBolt Boutique. Buying trips are a combination of extreme fun, overwhelming stress, and long hours… but mostly fun! Just imagine two convention centers filled wall to wall with thousands of wholesale brands and designers. It really is a girl’s shopping dream come true (haha), except I have to remind myself that I am buying for the masses and not just me. Nevertheless, I am super super excited! Here are my top 5 favorite upcoming trends you can expect to see for the 2019 Spring/Summer season:
Beige and Neutral Colors:
Beige, sand, tan! Neutral colors were all over the runways this season and you will definitely be seeing this colorway hitting stores soon. Beige looks good on most skin colors and is a color you can wear one million different ways. It is easy to dress up or down and can quickly go from day to night!
Lace:
I feel like lace is always in style honestly. It is beautiful, girly, and timeless! From the pictures on the runway, it seems designers are getting creative with the use of lace and styling it a bit more edgy, which will be really fun to see and wear!
Craft Work:
This includes netting, crotchet, and loose knits. This type of clothing always gives me “cool girl” vibes. Effortless and beachy, but always unique and different. This is probably the trend I am most excited about!
Funky Prints:
For me, the bolder the better! Never ever be afraid to wear a loud print! If you style it with other toned down pieces then you can rock any print. I picture a top featuring a really loud print worn with basic denim and classic shoes looking really cool. Also think about those crazy snakeskin boots everyone wore this past winter. Those are a bold print, but worn with the right outfit looks effortless. Anyone can pull it off!
Biker Shorts:
I am superrr on the fence about these… I feel like this is that trend I like in theory or on a Kardashian, but would never actually wear it myself. They look really cute in pictures, but gosh, it’s a bold move! They could very easily go from “cool” to “kindergartener”. But if you love them and rock them, then more power to ya!
There are so many exciting colors and trends coming up! I will do my best finding the most wearable and cost effective pieces at market next week. A recap of the trip is soon to come!
