We are always looking for inspiration on what to wear and what to add to our closets each season. We love our Bolt babez and thought it would be fun to get their opinions on the latest fashion, as well as some hot takes on current trends that are out right now. Hope you enjoy and get some style inspo!
The amazing women in this blog have been gracious enough to spend time answering these fun questions surrounding fashion and lifestyle. If you are not following them already you definitely should! They are all so genuine and create beautiful content that is sure to bring joy to your feed :)
The women we interviewed are:
1. What fall trend are you most looking forward to?
Leah: “Printed/ fun pants! I think this is going to make fall fashion so much more fun and unique than it has been in the years past. Also I really hope that all the fun colors stick around for fall!”
Brenley: “I think a fall trend I'm always looking forward to is oversized sweaters! Whether it’s paired with a tennis skirt or a pair of mom jeans, it’s always a go to for me as soon as it gets cooler outside!”
Holly: “Fun colorful sweaters and sweat sets!”
Abby: “I absolutely loveeee fall clothes. They’re my favorite to wear because you don’t have to be worried about being too hot or too cold, so you can have a lot more fun with it! I am probably most looking forward to wearing loose fitting jeans and sweaters. (My favorite being the chunky oatmeal turtleneck sweater I got last season from Bolt!💗) Those outfits are so cozy and casual but you can also dress them up with a cute heeled ankle bootie, which is my personal favorite.”
Our take: We are also SO excited for the funky prints and bright colors coming this fall! Oversized sweaters are always a must have in the closet too, and we are pumped for what’s to come. Just thinking about these clothes makes us want fall to come sooner! (Bolt's Fall Collection)
2. What is your least favorite trend right now?
Watch out! Here are some hot takes!
Abby: “Don’t come for me, but I don’t like bucket hats.😬 I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
Jess: “The Y2K style. It reminds me of when I was younger.”
Leah: “Crocs..I really do not like these at all😂”
This is always a fun question to ask because everyone has a different hot take on current trends! We all have our own likes and dislikes. But I guess the main takeaway is don't wear your bucket hat with a y2k crop top paired with your crocs ;) JUST KIDDING! You can't make everyone happy so wear what YOU love, that’s what makes fashion fashion!
3. Where is your dream vacation and what would you wear there?
Jess: “South of France. Lots of color and old architecture with the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.”
Brenley: “My dream vacation would definitely be the Bahamas, and I would see myself wearing a cute bikini every day paired with long denim shirts or a matching cover up tie skirt!”
Sofia: “Hawaii & I would wear bikinis and dresses the whole time (:”
Holly: "My dream vacation is anywhere at a beach. I would have to say, Maui Hawaii is my favorite place to vacation. I would wear lots of fun sundresses, cover ups and cute suits, jean shorts and crop tops paired with cute accessories."
To sum it up in one word… BEACH! One thing we love about vacations is the freedom to take fashion risks because you are in a new and beautiful environment. Nothing fuels creativity and inspiration like a change of scenery! On your next vacation, bring something out of your norm! If you love how you feel in it, incorporate it into your everyday vibe!
4. What is your favorite fashion decade?
Abby: "Hmmmm I would probably say the 70’s. I think the patterns are so fun and it makes me happy to see them coming back in a slightly more modern way! I also think the pants are super funky and classy. I like the pairing of high-waisted flared pants with a more fitted crop top."
Sofia: "Honestly, I am loving the decade of fashion that is in right now. Some 80's & 90's trends are coming back but with a modern spin and I'm loving it."
Leah: "It would have to be the 90s, I love taking fashion inspo from Princess Diana's casual outfits in the 90s! So gorgeous and timeless!"
Brenley: "My favorite fashion decade is for sure the 90s no doubt! I feel like every day my mom is telling me she definitely wore the same outfits as me in the 90s!!! Such an iconic year for the fashion industry."
ALL THE ABOVE! We are seeing influence from all of these decades on trends today. 70s fashion will be a big hitter this fall and winter! Patterns, colors, and silhouettes will all resemble the groovy era.
5. What’s your go to power color? And Why?
Sofia: "I am loving the color white right now. I just love how simple and pretty it is!"
Holly: "Pink because I love the way I feel in it. Ever since I was a little girl, pink has always been my first choice for clothes!"
Leah: "I always feel some type of way in black, but yellow makes me feel super good and it’s fun and bright! So right now it’s yellow💛"
Abby: "Yellow!☀️ I think that yellow is such a happy sunshiny color. I love that it’s a bright color, but almost like a neutral as well. I think what makes it a power color is that it isn’t too common. I don’t see too many people wearing yellow so I always feel like I stand out a little when I’m wearing it."
Everybody has a different power color, but yellow, pink, and white are a few of our favorites as well! Ask yourself this. Have you ever seen someone wearing yellow and not have a smile on their face? … Exactly! White is so delicate and girly, we love how versatile it is! And at Bolt we also like pink a lot! Can you tell?!? 💖
6. What is a random item you always keep in your purse?
Leah: "Random item I always have in my purse is my tripod and a Bluetooth clicker! You never know when you’re going to need to snap a photo!"
Holly: "Always have lipgloss, gum and a phone charger!"
Sofia and Jess both said Aquafor! Can't live without it!
You can learn a lot about gal based on what she keeps in her purse (LOL)!
7. Any last fashion advice?
Leah: “Fashion thoughts and advice..Be yourself! Trends are going to always come and go but if you stay true to yourself and what you truly feel best in then you’ll always feel and look great! Also don’t be afraid to do something outside the norm and set some trends too☺”
Abby: “I would say to look at your existing wardrobe with fresh eyes. I am the biggest culprit of wearing the same outfits over and over. But when I try to pair different tops with different skirts or shorts or even a pair of shoes that I wouldn’t normally pair with an outfit, it makes getting dressed more inspiring.”
Sofia: “Wear what you love and what makes you most comfortable (:”
Holly: “If you want to be a trendsetter, always be YOU in everything you wear. If you like the new trends, great but if not, be YOURSELF in how you dress and always let your personality shine through!”
This is so true! Stay true to yourself! Wear what YOU love and feel comfortable in but have the boldness to set your own trends and make some statements! And you probably do have an outfit in your closet you haven't worn yet. Just get creative. Mix and match and have fun with it!
